China's Electronic Glass Market Poised to Surpass 55 Billion Yuan in 2024
During the Optoelectronic Glass Industry Development Seminar held on September 24, Zhang Chong, Chairman of the Electronic Glass Branch of the Chinese Silicate Society, unveiled remarkable progress in China's high-end electronic glass technology. These breakthroughs have been a driving force behind the robust growth of the industry, bolstered by the material's increasing adoption in cutting-edge applications such as smartphones, tablets, new energy vehicles, and flexible foldable displays.
Between 2018 and 2023, China's electronic glass market experienced extraordinary growth, expanding from 30.8 billion yuan to 50.2 billion yuan, achieving an impressive compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 10.25%. Zhang emphasized that the momentum shows no signs of slowing, forecasting the market to reach a valuation of 55 billion yuan by the end of 2024. This growth underscores the pivotal role of electronic glass in the evolution of modern technology and its indispensable place in the global supply chain.
